The 2020 Clay target season is about to begin!
It is sign up time for the A&A Shooters. This is a Scholastic Clay Target team in Amador County. All boys and girls from 6th grade through high school can join the team. There is no experience necessary. This is a shotgun sport. Sign-ups will be at Mountain Mikes pizza in Martell on Jan. 23rd from 5-8pm. Anyone interested in learning how to shoot trap or skeet and have their questions answered should come. Practices will start in February and the season runs to mid-June. Everyone shoots as much as everyone else. Come to sign ups if you want to try it.

Seniors! Earn up to $21,000 in a speech contest next month. The topic this year is “Homelessness in California; what is the Solution?” All graduating seniors are eligible to enter. See Mrs. Reynolds in the Career Center for details.

Spring Student Author Program! Students are invited to create and sell a book! From ideas to creation, students will be published in multiple formats; print and eBooks as well as audio and video! Classes are held at the Jackson Library afterschool on Tuesdays, February through May. The Student Author Program is brought to you by Creative Spirit Families & Amador County Libraries with support from the CA State Library funded by the State Of California.
